🧑🌾If there’s one lesson to learn from the #farmer protests across Europe this past year, it’s that our current agricultural system needs a real change.❌The frustration of our farmers is real and justified. But we believe that quick-fix solutions, like cutting back on green initiatives, are not the answer. These short-term measures only push us further from achieving an economically and environmentally sustainable food system. 🌿We need to support our farmers in transitioning to #organic and #regenerative practices. But how can this happen without the necessary funding? 💰It’s time to ensure farmers receive fair prices for their produce and that EU subsidies (like the #CAP) finance real ecological transitions instead of maintaining the status quo. 🤗 Now is the moment to gather our crowd and make conscious choices that drive us toward a more resilient, healthy and fair food system for all.-#gatheryourcrowd#itstimetoact#EUelections2024#useyourvote

🎉 Last week, all CrowdFarming teams gathered to celebrate the European Investment Bank (EIB)'s recognition of our hard work through their award and reflect on how far we've come in the past six years. While we acknowledge there is still much to be done to create a #fair and #sustainable agri-food supply chain, it's important to take a moment to pause, reflect and celebrate our progress!

🌳 Consumer demand for sustainable products is evident, with75% of #Europeans willing to pay more for eco-friendly options. 🌳 And yet a recent study by the European Commission revealed that more than half of green claims by companies in the EU were found to be“vague, misleading, or unfounded”, with 40% lacking any substantiation.🌳 The EU has taken note of this confusion and is stepping in with a new set of regulations to tackle the menace of #greenwashing.
