The property is located in front of the lake. Immersed in nature it is very suggestive.We arrived around 6pm and unfortunately the pool closed at 6.30pm so we didn't have time to test it. They offer free spa service but massages are subject to charges.The restaurant is well stocked with alcohol, you can eat discreetly buffet-style cuisine, both typical Asian and international, for around €15 per person. Breakfast is also a buffet; you can find sweet/savory products and freshly cooked eggs.Our room (deluxe double) was very nice, on two levels: in the lower part the bathroom has a particular concept. A sliding door takes you directly into the room with a half roof covered only by a net. All very beautiful but impractical and above all there is the risk of finding many insects, as in our case.In the upper part there is the bedroom, very comfortable.The upholstery is not entirely clean and this contrasts with the entire structure.

The Hotel is no longer what it used to be. It can be clearly seen it is run with an inadequate staff level. Hence service level is poor if there is even a moderate crowd. Et Even though the hotel was not full on the day we checked-in and requesting for an early check-in about an hour before the normal time, they could not give it on time. Further the AC didn't work. The indoor outdoor bathroom was good and the bed was good. Lunch buffet was reasonable but nothing to rave about. Dinner choice was limited. Breakfast choice was the best of the 3 meals. The view from the garden was good except that the main electricity supply line on the road is a distraction to the view. Since there is a limited choice in hotels close to Polonnaruwa and Minneriya National Park this a hotel one would choose by default rather than choice. I hope with the increase if tourism in Sri Lanka the management will refurbish the hotel and increase the staff to provide a better service.

We stayed two days in this hotel and enjoyed our stay. The pool was in a good condition and a great choice after hiking. The rooms where clean and comfortable so that I would choose his hotel again. We also took dinner two times( a la carte and buffet) and the service was great. Over all a nice quiet place with a good view on a big lake and very friendly and helpful people.

Had a rather fulfilling stay at this property during my visit to Polonnaruva area. The property has a very tranquil ambiance and both food and the hospitality at this place was excellent. Highly recommended even when you are visiting with your family or friends.

One of the best hotels Ive been in years. Loved the atmosphere and the hospitality. Food was amazing and the rooms were the best. Enjoyed my time with friends and the staff was super nice. I highly recommmend the hotel for a fab getaway with your family or friends. This hotel is simply the best❤️

This was my second time there. We got a deluxe room with the fluffiest pillows. The cloakroom was clean and the view from the room surrounding the jungle is a wonderful experience. The food in the restaurant was amazing. My favorite was the Sri Lankan menu coz nothing beats a local cuisine. But the dinner was next level with the salads and meats and so much more 😍 The staff is so attentive and friendly. The chefs always love a little bit of appreciation and the receptionists are the sweetest souls.

Pleasant hotel with lovely view across the tank Our room was adequate. It had a loft - with steep stairs. Which was not ideal. The garden bathroom was nice - a tree in the middle of the bath room, a rain shower and large bathtub in a green setting. Watching sunset from the balcony was very nice The monkeys were very active - playing in the water. The hotel is not far from the polonnaruwa ruins

The worst hotel I have been in. We made a reservation of 14 rooms and all the rooms had one problem or another. Ants and bugs in beds and co*ckroaches in the wash rooms. No WiFi in most of the rooms and in the ones WiFi worked, it was very slow. Problems with air conditioners also and the staff were.very slow to address these issues and needs training on customer service. Specially front desk staff did not answer phone calls or address issues promptly

The best part of our stay was when the staff surprised our parents for their anniversary. It was so thoughtful and made our trip extra special. Having just spent 5 nights at this hotel we can definitely recommend it. It was ideally placed for our self organised tour of Sri Lanka and, from here, we visited the iconic sites of Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and the fabulous Hurulu national park where we saw many elephants. Our lakeside cottage at the hotel was very quaint and we loved sitting on the decking watching the monkeys and chipmunks running around. Staff at the hotel are very welcoming and the pool area is lovely. The hotel does get frequented by coach parties and we enjoyed the breakfast and evening buffets alongside quieter a la carte dinners on the outside terrace on the nights when there were fewer guests

The bedrooms and cloakrooms were amazing, and the view was extraordinary overlooking the Giritale lake from the moment you enter the hotel. The staff are really kind and welcoming.. The kind of service you expect on an outing. Definitely recommended for nature lovers and a peace of mind 😍
