So what are we looking for?- You love to hustle and be in a fast-paced environment covering many different areas and/or products. You have to be able to handle different things coming your way on a daily basis and make decisions without someone always telling you exactly where to go or what to do. - You have to be customer oriented and a problem solver who is willing to go the extra mile to help. Not only are we in our client's offices discussing some of our amazing products, we're sometimes out in the field (it gets hot in the summer) helping customer solve issues. - You truly enjoy the sales process and have a track record of exceeding sales goals and building strong relationships with customers. - Pool & spa industry experience is preferred but we've had employees from all different professional backgrounds, so don't be afraid to apply if you think you fit the mold in most areas. - Ability to travel throughout Southwest Florida (This is a must!) which means as far north as Bradenton and south as Naples. - A network of established relationships within the Southwest Florida pool & spa industry is a huge plus. This includes distributors, builders, service, retail and outdoor living. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class, growing team and leverage/build strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and builders, while promoting innovative products that enhance the backyard experience. Was great to be at the POOLCORP show in Key West alongside some of our wonderful manufacturing partners such as and Raypak, and of course showcasing all our amazing lines. Pete Zaharuk, Shannon Adkins and Eddie Alvarez are always bringing the knowledge to local dealers, and having a good time connecting with old and new friends. Can’t wait for the next one!

When we post about pool plasters and finishes, we often talk about the look of the product given it is such a huge part of creating the perfect pool aesthetic for the customer. We might be biased, but we happen to think PMM - Premix Marbletite Mfg. Co. is producing the most beautiful, unique, and functional finishes with the Marquis, Mystic Ice, and Freestone series.However, the final look is hardly the only factor when thinking about pool finishes, and while the homeowner is likely making decisions based on their preferred look, let's not forget about the other critical components of plaster that impact both pool builders/plaster crews and distribution.✅ Builders and Plaster CrewsPremix is made by plaster applicators, for applicators - and their challenges are always at the heart of these products. Plastering crews across the Southeast are loving Premix's ease of application and ultimately the end result.Premix is a Base+Dye application - with a base that is already pre-mixed (wink wink) so you don't need to add too many other ingredients - if any. We hear from our customers that our powdered dye (as opposed to liquid) also provides more consistent finishes with less issues - and lasts much longer than liquid if it goes unused on a job. This means less on-site headaches with more seamless mixing that will lead to simpler applications and an ultimately more impressive finish for the customer. ✅ DistributionSimple stocking and storage is critical, and that is especially true with plaster which is often purchased by the truckload and has a certain shelf life. Premix has huge upside for distributors as it uses the same base mix across all finishes in each series, with separate dyes and quartz aggregates added-in upon application.That means simpler inventory management as applications will always require the same base mixes and if you're not stocking a certain finish a customer wants, you won't have to bring in a half or full truckload as the dyes and aggregates are much simpler to ship from manufacturing via UPS or other methods.If you're a distributor sitting on a lot of existing plaster inventory that hasn't moved, you should talk to us about why Premix may make your life easier in the future. This is well worth the read and perfect timing as we are gearing up to demistify a lot about heat pumps for pools and spas this month.First things first - heat pumps are not just for heating your pool as some models, like the Raypak Crosswind V Deluxe series, can also cool your water.This especially appropriate as we are getting into the height of summer in the Southeast where high temps can reach well over 100 degree Fahrenheit which can mean bath-like water temps for many pools. Can you imagine having a pool to enjoy on those hot days only to dive in to warm water? We can’t either.And many people who already have traditional heaters might not think investing in a heat pump is worth it, but having a heat pump can both extend your summer season by cooling, but also efficiently extend your pool season by heating your pool when it may not be as cost friendly to use your gas heater. You could make up for your initial investment pretty quickly while also extending your pool season. So maybe you’re in a state like Texas, Louisiana, or Tennessee - and think a heat pump isn’t appropriate for your needs, but if you understand what they can do to extend your pool season and maximize usage throughout most of the year - you may reconsider. And if you’re in Texas - watch out here as we are running Heat Pump trainings later this month in Houston, Austin, and DFW. We’re on a mission to help our customers understand and explain the full benefits of having a heat pump as part of your pool setup.

Wow! The first half of the year just flew by and now we're rocking and rolling into full summer time. Of course nothing says summer like the 4th of July and we hope everyone has a fun-filled Independence Day holiday. Like most of the industry - we will be closed tomorrow July 4th but will be right back here on Friday supporting our manufacturers and customers. We our working on some really exciting things for the second half of the year and will have some fun announcements over the next few weeks - so stay tuned...

BEWARE THE SWAMP THING!!!!!The iconic comic book character debuted in July 1971, but another swamp thing has plagued pools and spas across the country when it finds the right environment. We're talking of course about algae, and a quick google search will show you how bad it can get. The team at the Pool Nation Podcast (Edgar De Jesus, Zac Nicklas, and John Flawless) are currently in the middle of 2024 Algae Week and they've put out a great algae guide you can download on their website (https://poolnation.com) - useful for both pool pros and homeowners alike. While the entire guide is a great primer on algae, what we really love is the conclusion..."There is no magic bullet to pool care but there are many products available to help make the process easier - but its important not to use any algaecide product or copper based products as a crutch.
